Pacharee Pantoomano-Pfirsch (Nui)
Started BNOW

What:

BNOW is a network that aims to link and inspire women. The services BNOW provides its members are
• Weekly e-newsletter
• Membership cards which gives members special offers and discounts at selected
   businesses
• Networking events
• Local tours
• Personal interest, development classes & educational workshops
• Leisure activities
• Philanthropic programs which benefit the Thai community

Where:

The support is via the weekly e-newsletter at BNOW monthly organized events.

To be able to read the e-newsletter properly, it is required that you set your e-mail/WORD document on HTML. Some free e-mail services like Yahoo, Gmail, and Hotmail truncate long e-mails. To read the newsletter in its entirety, please visit the website and download. A new issue is distributed nearly every weekend.

• If you have a posting you'd like to submit, please send between Monday and Wednesday. Deadline is 5pm Wednesday to posting@bnow.org. If you want the message repeated, resend it the successive week before the deadline. If you have joined and never received a newsletter and decided to re-register yourself, please note BNOW may not be able to bypass your servers firewall or spam filter. To rectify this matter, please add bnow@bnow.org to your address book. Also, check your "junk e-mail" box for the BNOW newsletter.

• If you have questions or comments, please e-mail bnow@bnow.org.

When:

The group was started in January 2004 to help local and foreign women who are both new and old to Bangkok.

Why:

The concept is to provide a supportive network to women from all walks of life. We have a weekly e-newsletter which takes contribution from the members. These contributions are in the form of questions to the group, suggestions, recommendations, and announcements. Answers and feedback may be shared with the group or directly with the person who posted a specific query. The group meets twice a month. The get together is to have women meet and interact, enabling them to put faces to names and to make new friends and business connections in this transient town.
